Laugh-a-minute at Hurst Green panto
The tragedy of the Hunchback of Notre Dame is probably not most people's first choice for the pantomime treatment.
But the Hurst Green-based Comedy Capers group have taken the classic tale and turned it into a laugh-a-minute show, entitled Panto at Notre Dame.
The group's 13th annual pantomime is slightly later this year because the team wanted extra time to work on the production and add the finishing touches to what promises to be a rip-roaring romp.
Colleen Burt, chairman of Comedy Capers, joked: "We don't know if we are last of the season or the first of the next season!"
She added: "The show is very light-hearted with a happy ending."
The panto will include plenty of songs and several dances from youngsters from the Comedy Capers Children's Group, run by Phyllis Cowling.
The show opens on Thursday and tickets are selling fast.
Panto at Notre Dame will be showing on Thursday at 7.30pm and Friday at 2pm and 7.30pm at Hurst Green village hall.
Tickets cost 5 for adults, 3 for children and are available from the village shop or the hairdressers.
