Kidney patient missing since Tuesday

A seriously ill man has gone missing from hospital.

Robert Waller, 72, of Shearwater Crescent, Hastings, was due to undergo dialysis for kidney problems at Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton on Tuesday morning but walked out of the building without having the vital treatment.

A police spokesman said: "Concerns are growing for Mr Waller's safety as, without timely dialysis treatment, his condition has the potential to deteriorate rapidly."

Mr Waller is described as being white, with short dark hair, of medium to large build and about 5ft 9in tall.

He was wearing a beige fleece, a light or beige coloured checked shirt and pale beige trousers.

It is understood that Mr Waller has no access to money, vehicle or means of communication.

Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to contact police on 0845 60 70 999.
