Insurance firm’s pier pledge

AN insurance broker has offered to donate a percentage of its earnings towards the campaign to restore Hastings pier.

Chris Knott Insurance has pledged to give 25 per cent to the Hastings Pier and White Rock Trust (HPWRT) on every car, home or business policy sold where the caller mentions the pier. This promise continues for as long as the customer stays with the broker.

Neil Franklin, managing director of Chris Knott Insurance, said: “We miss the pier so we’re putting our money where our mouth is and backing the campaign. “There’s no limit to the amount we can raise if the good people of Hastings and its surrounding areas get behind the scheme.”

Ray Chapman, chairman of HPWRT, said “We welcome Chris Knott’s support and are grateful for the opportunity to receive a generous share of their earnings.”

For more information on the trust, and how to help, visit www.hpwrt.co.uk or for Chris Knott’s contact details visit www.chrisknott.co.uk.
