Exhibitions set to Shape Hastings

FOLLOWING on from their previous consultation on the ‘Big Map’, Hastings Borough Council is now launching a wider consultation, ‘Shaping Hastings’.

It will run for 12 weeks, until April 27, 2012, and will help shape the local area over the next 15 years.

The plan will allocate sites for new homes and jobs, areas to shop, open spaces, play areas, sports pitches and more.

Exhibitions are being held at various locations around the town where members of the public can find out more about the plan and find out how to submit feedback. All comments must be submitted by 4pm on Friday April 27, 2012.

Exhibitions will be held at Hastings Town Hall, Tuesday February 14, 12noon to 7pm, and Tilekiln Community Centre on Thursday February 16, 10am to 1pm,

A small display will also be available in the Council’s Planning reception at Aquila House throughout the consultation period.

For more details, dates and venues contact the councils Planning Policy Team on 01424 451098 or visit: www.hastings.gov.uk.
