Burglars’ mid-morning raid on house

A property in Beaneys Lane, Hastings, was burgled on Wednesday morning (January 23).

The house was broken into between 10.15am and 10.50am by the thieves who smashed a window at the front of the property to get inside.

They made off with electrical items and jewellery including two laptops, games consoles and a digital camera.

PCSO Lucy Paffett, from Hastings’ Neighbourhood Police Team, said: “Should someone attempt to sell cheap goods to you, consider where they may have come from.

“It might be that you are being offered stolen goods.

“Ensure your home is locked up and consider installing an alarm or CCTV system to protect your property.

“Good advice is to register your property at immobilise.com which is entirely free and supported nationally by police forces.”

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to contact police on 101 quoting serial number 439 of 23/01.

Alternatively call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
