Burglaries in Broadwater linked

POLICE are linking two attempted burglaries which happened in Broadwater.

Just after midnight on Tuesday, May 19, a witness heard the alarm sounding at the Co-Op store in Cricketers Parade.

The witness saw a man inside the store and challenged him.

The man made off to the rear of the shop and a white van and a Nissan Navaro were then seen driving off towards the A27.

On Tuesday morning, workers arrived at the Tesco Express store in nearby Broadwater Street West to find the alarm wires had been cut.

Nothing was stolen from either shop but police believe they could be linked.
