SCORES of visitors helped raise more than £1,200 at a school’s summer fete at the weekend.

A pirate fancy dress competition and street dance demonstrations were just some of the attractions on offer at Little Ridge School’s event on Saturday, which was organised by members of the Parent Staff Association.

Tom Collins, the school’s headteacher, said: “The afternoon began with a stirring performance of street dance by Fusion, followed by SAMA Karate, the pirate fancy dress competition and the traditional Little Ridgers’ Talent Show.

“The auction of promises was very popular and there was plenty to keep the children entertained with a penalty shoot-out, assault course, bouncy castle, crockery smash and knock down the teacher.

“The weather held out and we look forward to the funds raised going to support an outdoor learning project we are running.”
