SCHOOL dinners will never taste the same again for pupils from Little Ridge Community School.
The youngsters, aged six to nine, were special guests of Bay Spice Restaurant in Eversfield Place, St Leonards, recently.
They were invited to the premises as part of this term’s Learning Journey on India.
The children were shown the kitchen and store rooms before sitting down to be served with a meal of curry, rice, onion bhaji, salad and naan bread.
Teacher Julia Bristow-Diamond said: “We are so grateful to the management and staff at Bay Spice for organising and providing this immensely valuable educational and social experience for the children.
“The children gained first-hand knowledge of traditional Indian food and restaurants and they all thoroughly enjoyed the visit.
“It was great fun and a further progression to the Indian cookery sessions that the children have been participating in during our classroom learning journey activities.”
