Well-attended

I WOULD like to thank those who were involved and made a contribution to the All Fired Up event last Saturday.

The event was put on to acknowledge the success of the Save The Ridge Fire Station campaign which was greatly supported by all at the Observer and very well-attended despite the awful weather on Saturday night.

In particular I would like to thank Wendy Border, ASDA In Store Community Champion, and Steve Davies, of TESCO, both of whom were extremely generous with donations of excellent raffle prizes.

The raffle organised by Jackie and Kristina generated a very healthy £117 for Crossroads. Thanks also to Mark Brown Fire Brigades Union Representative and Sarah Owen, Labour’s Parliamentary Candidate, for agreeing to draw the raffle. Of course without those that braved the very wet weather we would have had no event. Well done to all,

CLLR PHIL SCOTT
