Thanks for support

The committee of Surviving Christmas would like to thank all our supporters, volunteers and guests for a wonderful 2012 project.

Despite the harsh economic climate we received fantastic support from many clubs, schools, churches, businesses and the public.

The project delivered 500 hampers and 750 gifts, food vouchers, and a wonderful three-day open event when more than 300 hot meals were served.

Due to the extremely generous donations we were able to help other local organisations to continue to support the community after Christmas.

Our long-standing supporters were joined this year by our youngest fundraiser, Lana Hardwick, aged six, and Hastings Direct staff Community Days helped our project off to a great start.

We hope everyone enjoyed the surprise busking at Priory Meadow on Christmas Eve when Tim Rice-Oxley and Tom Chaplin from Keane helped raise awareness and much-needed funds.

It was a real treat and for those who missed it we have posted links on our website.

A wonderful contribution and way to celebrate the 28th annual project. We thank you all for your generosity.

Your support is very much appreciated and makes a real difference within our community.

With best wishes for 2013.
