Salvation Army band gets great response
MAY I through your newspaper express my sincere thanks for the support and generosity, both financially and verbally, of the public to our band over this Christmas period.
The band undertakes many engagements throughout December bringing carols to many areas of our town, and this year we have experienced such a positive response to our playing, which is all the more amazing when the present economic climate is taken into consideration. We have also been blessed with many donations of food over the past few months which has helped us to respond to many requests for food parcels in the last month as well.
There has been some negative news for this area recently, but I can assure readers that community spirit and support is still strong.
