Enough salt left?

NOW the cold weather seems to have arrived will Hastings have enough left salt to grit the roads if it is prolonged?

Since November the gritting mangers appear to have a totally different weather forecast to the rest of us.

Only one night was forecast to be icy and well below freezing, the other occasions have been forecast above 0C and cloudy and on several occasions it was forecast to rain, which normally did a few hours after both lorries had made their two sweeps in both directions of Sedlescombe Road North.

I hope the council finance team review the cost of unnecessary gritting and some body is held accountable for the use of the rate payers money.
