Double whammy

I AM in support of Margaret Winchester’s letter about parking for local residents and the effect on local stores.

Many residents have to pay for a permit to park outside their own homes and it is adding insult to injury to ask them to pay again on the seafront or town centre.

They are in effect having to pay twice to park in Hastings. The council should allow anyone who has already paid for a permit to park for free or a least a reduced amount in the town.
