Do volunteers get the short straw?

HASTINGS councillors with the inevitable photo opportunity, were recently crowing over having sent a final notice to Ravenclaw Investments, owners of Hastings Pier - something they could have done many years ago, before the fire?

Meanwhile a new administrator is sought to assist the chief executive Simon Opie.

When many volunteer their time and money to the belief in the restoration of the pier, nobody has mentioned what salary these administrators are receiving and where their wages are coming from?
