THREE galleries have joined forces to offer a weekend of art, food and the great outdoors in the form of the Coastal Culture Trail.

The trail links Jerwood Gallery in Hastings, the De La Warr Pavilion, in Bexhill, and the Towner, in Eastbourne, covering a 20-mile stretch of East Sussex coastline.

It will be launched on the weekend of June 8 to 9, during which there will be a variety of special events.

At the Jerwood Gallery there will be screenings of Every Picture Tells a Story, the life of William Scott as told by his son, along with a number of talks and tours, and a children’s trail.

At the De La Warr Pavilion will be a fanzine workshop with Tristan Manco, and German comic Henning Wehn will be performing.

At the Towner, in Eastbourne will be creative workshops for children, gallery tours, and a talk by curator of exhibitions at Leeds Art Gallery. Sarah Brown, on painter Fiona Rae.
