Pestalozzi International Village Trust is hosting an afternoon of speakers and performances in support of International Women’s Day on Saturday March 11, 1-3.30pm.
The topic of the afternoon will be the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day #BeBoldForChange.
The line up of speakers includes Pestalozzi students, who will share their experiences of volunteering with the #HeForShe project; and of women’s issues in their home countries.
Local author Ann Kramer will be speaking about her own ‘bold moment’ and her work with Hastings Women’s Voice.
Pestalozzi CEO Susan Walton, says the event will celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women across the world, and identify the bold actions that can be taken to help progress the ‘gender agenda’ in life and work. “The afternoon will be a great opportunity to meet Pestalozzi students and guests whilst finding out more about women’s issues worldwide and, of course, celebrating their successes,” she said.
“More guests are to be confirmed shortly so watch the Pestalozzi website for updates.
“As well as the packed itinerary of speakers and performances, there will also be a prize draw and light refreshments.”
The event is free to attend but places are limited. Book tickets through Eventbrite at: https://pestalozziwomensday.eventbrite.co.uk or call 01242 870444.For further information on this or future events visit the website at: http://www.pestalozzi.org.uk
