Jerwood Gallery opens with a ceremony

THE Jerwood Gallery opens its doors to the public tomorrow (Saturday), with a ceremony at 10am, remaining open until 8pm.

Jerwood director Liz Gilmore said: “We are very excited, we are moving very quickly towards the opening.

“We will very soon produce a flyer with all the coming events and activities.”

These include a collaboration with Electric Palace Cinema, which will be showing films related to Rose Wylie’s work, and an educational programme.

Admission is £2 for local adults and £1 for local children aged 5-16. Proof of residency is required.

Free admission for local residents first Tuesday of the month 4pm to 8pm.
