Indika wins Mr Watt, Grumpy Man of Metal competition

Last Friday (28 September) there was a presentation at Hastings Museum to the winner of the Mr Watt, Grumpy Man of Metal exhibition, in which children were asked to draw an item from around the museum that Mr Watt might like to take with him when he leaves Hastings.

Eight year old Indika Mamujee was the winner with an adaptation of the Chinese Horse in the upper gallery and Jon Mills artist and creator of Mr Watts made a metal trophy from the drawing which was presented at the Museum on Friday.

Cllr Emily Westley, lead member for leisure said : “What a magnificent drawing young Indika designed as part of the Mr Watt exhibition, and seeing it in metal was amazing, I am sure that it is something he will always treasure”

“We are doing all we can to engage people of all ages to come and visit the museum to see how much fun they can have and I hope this inspires others to come along to other exhibitions here at the museum’
