Home gets go-ahead despite objections

DEVELOPERS have been given permission to build a new home with parking despite objectors’ protests.

Aubrey Ingleton, who set up a petition and gathered a dozen signatures, said he believed if the plan to build the town house on land next to 132 Frederick Road was allowed, it could set a precedent for other home owners to develop on small garden plots.

He also said it would create additional traffic congestion.

But councillors gave the go-ahead for the scheme at their planning meeting last Wednesday (April 27).
