TO celebrate its 50th birthday the British Heart Foundation (BHF) has teamed up with a pair of electrical retailers to appeal for locals to donate toasters, kettles and other small household bits and bobs.
The charity, which has a seafront base here in Hastings on White Rock, is working with Currys and PC World to try and stock up on things to sell in its shop.
And anyone donating something to the store will be in with a chance of winning thousands of pounds worth of brand new electricals.
They will also get a five per cent off voucher to spend in Currys or PC World.
BHF spokesman Mike Lucas said: “I’d like to encourage every single household in Hastings to have a rummage for unwanted electricals - each and every one we receive will be giving hope to those suffering from heart disease.”
