Hastings Borough Branch Unison Retired Members

The first meeting of the new year held in January was the annual meeting.

It is very nice to be able report that, once again, all the positions on the committee were filled by willing volunteers and the Treasurer was able to report that the finances were in good shape.

At the conclusion of the AGM and following the usual interval for refreshments, the normal monthly meeting was held.

January also saw the first of this year's outings with a visit by members to the Ice Show at Brighton. A very cold day but an excellent performance much enjoyed by everyone.

At the February meeting details of the proposed outings for the first half of this year were given. In March there will be a City of London & Mansion House Tour, April a visit to Yalding & Folkestone entitled "Tea Time" in Kent, May will see a trip to the Isle of Wight with a guided tour round the Island. Summer Lunch at the Channel Heights Restaurant will be the event for June followed in July with a visit to Hall Place and Danson House, Bexleyheath. A varied selection, involving considerable organisation, so it is hoped that they will be well supported by members. Further outings will be announced at a later date.

The next monthly meeting in the Council Chamber at the Town Hall wil be on Monday, March 16 at 10am. New members very welcome just come along, make your self known to our chairman and join in the activities.
