Hastings & St Leonards Chess Club

The good weather the other week makes it feel appropriate to report the Club’s summer tournament results.

The Anslow Cup was won by Paul Kelly, with a score of 8 points from his 9 games; Jim Wheeler was runner-up with 7½ and Mason Woodhams took the third slot on 7.

The Whyte Cup rapid-play was a runaway victory for Rasa Norinkeviciute. The Lithuanian woman master scored a phenomenal 19½ from 20 games, ahead of Paul Kelly with an almost equally impressive 17½. Third place is obscured by a couple of unfinished games.
