A RADIO station rocked the airwaves and helped raise plenty of cash for a hard-up charity.
Hastings Rock will be back on air next year, rocking Hastings, Bexhill and the surrounding areas with new and classic rock music following its successful stint this year, collecting £2,600 for St Leonards-based St Michael’s Hospice.
DJs Andy Gunton, Angie Loveless and Tony Bell presented the money to Marcia Dart, the hospice’s challenge event fundraiser.
She said: “We are very grateful to Hastings Rock for their support again this year. They were so supportive of us during the broadcast period in May, advertising our events regularly and encouraging listeners to support us. We are very much looking forward to joining forces with them again in May 2012.”
If anyone would like to support St Michael’s Hospice by joining in any of its events, or organising their own fundraiser, call Marcia on 01424 456381.
