Hastings Philharmonic Choir

What a superb concert we all enjoyed in November. The Saint Saëns was delightful, the Pärt, challenging but so satisfying to achieve, and the Mozart glorious.

The capacity audience clearly enjoyed it too from the truly resounding applause and feedback.

Some new members have also been tempted to join us for the Carol Concert which takes place at St Mary in the Castle at 5pm on December 20. It will be a festive family event and we’re hoping to persuade our popular young conductor, who has a wonderful tenor voice, to sing a solo again for us. This has become a highlight for choir and audience alike.

The choir is looking forward to starting rehearsals in January for Orff’s lively Carmina Burana, to perform in April. This is just so much fun and such a wonderful addition to the choir members’ repertoire.

The choir, approximately 80-strong, is very friendly and welcomes new members. We meet at the Tabernacle in Cambridge Road, at 7pm on Wednesdays.
