Hastings Philharmonic Choir

WHAT a fantastic time we’ve had honing our singing techniques since April, under the expert guidance of our conductor Marcio da Silva.

Our nine workshops became Masterclasses, hard work but so beneficial. The music included some pieces planned for our next concert in November, featuring Mozart’s beautiful Solemn Vespers, Pärt’s Berlin Mass and Saint- Saëns’ Christmas Oratorio.

In April 2015 we shall perform Orff’s Carmina Burana and would love to have singers from other choirs join us. It’s great fun and a delight to sing. In fact the choir welcomes new members at any time, so why not give us try when we resume rehearsals, starting September 10. All non-members who came for the workshops found us very warm and friendly and many plan to join.

The choir meets at the Tabernacle in Cambridge Road at 7.15pm on Wednesdays.
