PAUL Kelly is the first confirmed winner of one of the club’s summer tournaments, beating Mason Woodhams in the Final of the Winser K.O. Cup.

In the Anslow Cup the two sections have narrowed down to two contenders in each: Kelly again and Ray Brooks in one, Alfredo Luaces and Bob Elliston in the other. The two section winners will play off for the title.

The lower division, the Bradley Martin Cup, has Umberto Jozwiak in front but he is not home by any means and either Greg Chandler or Roy Richardson could peg him back.

The Whyte Cup rapid play is settled, although not formally: Rasa Norinkeviciute has a couple of games to play but cannot be caught;Steve Blewitt is the probable runner-up.

The rapid play lower division, the Rider Trophy, looks good for Alfred Mikurenda, but a challenge from Adrian Cload or Robert Smart cannot be ruled out.
