Sentimental items of gold jewellery were stolen from a home in St Leonards on Monday (December 21).

Thieves broke into the property in Ironlatch Avenue sometime between 1.15pm and 8.20pm.

A number of pieces of jewellery were stolen, including four large men’s gold rings, two gold wedding bands, two gold signet rings, a gold chain and a ladies’ gold ring with a blue stone surrounded by white stones in a flower design.

Anyone who has been offered these items, saw anything suspicious or has any information about the theft is asked to email Sussex Police at 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101, quoting serial 1425 of 21/12.
