Giant TV screen for May Day Run

A CLASSIC racing film will be shown on a giant screen as part of this year’s May Day Run when tens of thousands of bikers are set to pour into town.

The British motorcycle race film Silver Dream Racer featuring David Essex and Beau Bridges will be screened in the town centre, in the area next to Cafe Nero, from 9am.

From 12.30pm to 6pm, there will live coverage of the British Superbike Championship from Oulton Park in Cheshire.

Bike 1066 has teamed up with the Hastings Trust to launch the screening, and organisers hope local people will get involved in the event.

Howard Martin, of bike 1066, said: “It’s a fanstic opportunity for people in the community to get involved in bikes. For more than 30 years Hastings locals have loved the bikers visiting on May Day and now they can really be part of the fun.”
