STAFF, students and parents came together to celebrate William Parker Sports College’s record-breaking GCSE results at an awards ceremony.

John Court, headteacher, congratulated all of the pupils, and this was followed by the school’s learning leader, Tamsin Edwards’ memories of the year group, which created lots of chuckles from the audience.

Individual certificates and awards were then presented to celebrate the students’ achievements, with a musical performance taking place during the proceedings.

The audience were, once again, filled with amusement and laughter as deputy headteacher, Ian Gillespie, recalled moments from the students’ time at William Parker. William Parker Sports College would like to thank Behind Closed Doors for providing the musical interlude.

Tamsin said: “I wish all the best to the class of 2006-11, I am very proud of their achievements and I wish them all well in their future pursuits.”
