ALL-lady fundraising group the Hastings Old Town Fan Club has had a busy few weeks - raising hundreds of pounds and launching a new website.

A recent quiz night netted £105, a Christmas table sale £200 and a best-dressed window competition a further £100 after the winner decided to give the cash to charity.

Among the good causes given a helping hand thanks to the money is young Bexhill girl Hayley Okines who is battling with the rare Hutchinson -Gilford progeria syndrome which sees her age quicker than other children.

The ladies are now planning a belated Christmas meal, a charity slave auction and an evening at the Jenny Lind, High Street, where everyone brings an unwanted piece of clothing and others are invited to buy them with a donation.

The next meeting is pencilled in for Friday, March 25 at The Stag in All Saints Street from 7pm.

New members are welcome and the club now has a website with more information on. It can be found at www.thehotfcofhastings.webs.com
