Classic jazz songs will be performed by Krysia Mansfield at Hastings Museum and Art Gallery, on Saturday (October 27).
SONGS by George Gershwin, Cole Porter and other composers, will be sung by Mansfield, with Michael Short (piano) and Robert Freedman (bass).
Very few classically-trained singers can sing jazz with the right kind of feel, but Krysia has got what it takes.
Born in Australia, where she graduated from the University of Western Sydney and the National Institute of Dramatic Arts, she also studied in London at the Sanford Meisner studio.
Equally at home on the operatic stage or in a jazz club, she has sung in many classical and modern operas and also performs regularly with her own jazz group Letters from NYC.
This concert is a fundraising event in aid of the Old Town Hall Museum.
Tickets are £8 (including a glass of wine), and are available in advance from Hastings Museum and Art Gallery, off Bohemia Road.
