Full Moon rising over East Hill

THIS picture of the full moon rising in all its majesty was taken by astronomer David Pulley on December 27.

The moon was captured rising over East Hill Cliff Railway.

Mr Pulley said: “This is an event that occurs only around December and January at the time of the Full Moon.”

He is member of The Local Group, a group of astronomers who meet in the area. For more information log onto www.thelocalgroup.org.uk. It takes its name from the ‘Local Group of Galaxies’ in which our galaxy, The Milky Way, is one of the larger members.
