Free sexual health tests

REVELLERS who may have picked up an unwanted Christmas present over the party season are being urged to take part in a new campaign.

Health bosses are offering self-test kits for people under 25 to see if they have chlamydia, a sexually transmitted disease which becomes widespread after the party season.

The disease often has no symptoms but can cause serious long-term problems like infertility if left untreated. The authorities are encouraging young people to look out for the free tests which people can take in the privacy of their own homes. They can then seek treatment if necessary.

Posters will be put up in local chemists offering the service in 1066 Country.
