BUDDING snappers are being invited to fine-tune their skills and pick up some tips from a local photography expert.
As part of the town’s Stade Stories competition, professional photographer Grace Lau will be at the Fishermen’s Museum between 4pm and 7pm offering one-to-one session, which each last 15 minutes.
The idea is to help people prepare for the town-wide competition to capture the best photograph of The Stade.
There will be four overall winners and a people’s choice award - with cameras among the prizes.
All people have to do to enter is take a shot somewhere on The Stade and hand it in (along with a £3 entry fee) to the Fishermen’s Museum in an envelope marked with their name, age, contact details and title of the shot. A maximum of three photographs are allowed and they must be the person’s own work and between A5 and A3 in size.
A total of 40 images will also be selected to go on show as part of an exhibition later this year.
The closing date is July 24 at 2pm and all shots must have been taken between January 1 and July 24 this year.
To book a place on Monday’s sessions call the Fishermen’s Museum on 01424 461446 and bring examples of work. Visit www.hastings.gov.uk/stade_education.
