Frank used to be a manager at the Ravenside store and founded the Tesco Retirement Association for the area before he was diagnosed with MS.

He said: “There are over 500 people in Hastings and Rother who are currently living with MS.

“It can affect anyone at any age and people have different symptoms. Some of our members are young mothers.

“We have managed to raise £1,700 so far this year with the help of Tesco and this Friday (November 25) is the big push to hit over 2k so any support is great for MS and awareness is priceless. Tesco have really helped us.”

The Hastings branch of the MS Society was started in 1958. Activities were widened to include the Rother area.

The Branch is run by an active committee, most of whom have MS.

They always welcome any additional help either as volunteers or committee members.

The branch holds social events and supportive activities and meet for a regular ‘Big Breakfast’ at the Azur in St Leonards.

They also have regular Friday yoga sessions at West St Leonards Community Centre, Bexhill Road.
