Have your say

Four teenagers from a weekly sports project in Hastings were selected for a discussion on young people’s wellbeing with Public Health England on Saturday (July 9).

Connor Smith, Andrew Costello, Aiden Kofoed and Toby Lindsay-Smith take part in Hastings Borough Council’s StreetGames initiative and were chosen for a Have Your Say workshop with the institution in London.

Lead member for leisure Dawn Poole said: “Have Your Say is the youth voice for public health and it helps to influence a change in policy and procedure nationally on health, wellbeing and physical activity.

“We are very pleased that four young people have been chosen from Hastings to be part of this 30 strong group to represent and put forward ideas about health and wellbeing – they should be very proud of themselves.”

The boys are all aged between 17 and 18 years and participate in the StreetGames project. To find out more visit www.activehastings.org.uk.
