AN ENGLAND football star dropped in to support a young Hastings football team.
Gareth Barry, who plays for Manchester City and also the England team, returned to his hometown to meet the Hastings Town Yellows, under 11s team.
Gareth met the team, as well as fans, making time for a team talk and posing for photographs.
The team were sporting their new kit, which is sponsored by the Safer Hastings Partnership and Crimestoppers.
The money for the kit came from the Police Property Act Fund, which redistributes the proceeds of crime to local good causes.
The idea of the training kit is to ensure that the team, who come from varying social backgrounds, are given a strong identity, sense of uniformity and look professional when training together.
The team are currently on a winning streak, winning their first four games of the season.
