Foodie festival Eat Global gets underway

A FESTIVAL of food, fun and entertainment, the launch of Eat Global took place in Priory Meadow Shopping Centre.

On Saturday afternoon (March 23) a variety of tasters were on offer and local produce for sale, along with local books and recipes, traditional Indian music and dance, a performance entitled Driftwood, by theatre group Galloping Cuckoos.

The festival continues until tomorrow (Saturday, March 30) and restaurants and cafes across town have been involved in celebrating the best food Hastings has to offer, with live music, dance dinners, cookery workshops and demonstrations, and even an exhibition by art students at Sussex Coast College.
