STAFF, pupils and parents past and present are being invited to a farewell bash for a much-loved school hall.
Hillcrest School will close this summer to make way for The Hastings Academy and Kenway Hall will be one of the casualties of the redevelopment. The hall was named after popular history teacher Relf Kenway, who joined Hillcrest in 1978 but died suddenly of a heart attack in the early 1980s. Since then the hall has been the focal point of school life for generations of students and teachers.
On Friday, April 8, Kenway Hall will open its doors for anyone with Hillcrest connections to come and mark the end of an era. The event runs between 2pm and 4pm - call Amanda Crisford on 01424 711950 (ext 2267) or email firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm attendance or for more information.
