FATHER Christmas had a busy time delivering festive cheer and gifts to children across town.

He took time out to go to Artemis Nursery and give each of the youngsters a gift.

Meanwhile toddlers at Gables Nursery in Silverhill were also treated to a visit by Santa and each got a present.

Almost 30 children played pass the parcel and took part in a fancy dress competition.

Pupils across town also celebrated the festive season by holding their own Christmas parties and acting out the traditional nativity story.

Children from Little Ridge School put on their Christmas concert at the Hastings Centre on The Ridge, singing Christmas carols and performing in front of proud parents and friends.

Residents at Leolyn Care Home in Pevensey Road, St Leonards, were paid a visit by toddlers from Greenway Nursery, who sang Christmas carols for them.
