FOOTBALL fans have been quick to snap up tickets for Hastings United’s big FA Cup tie away to Middlesbrough.
As of yesterday (Thursday) lunchtime, United secretary Tony Cosens estimated that 6-700 tickets had been sold for the third round clash on Saturday January 5.
The club started taking bookings for a fifth supporters’ coach yesterday morning, while many people are planning to travel up next Friday and make a weekend of it.
United chairman Dave Walters stressed, however, there is no need to panic regarding tickets as they will not run out.
Tickets are available from The Pilot Field on weekdays from 9.30am-1pm and 2.30-5pm, plus during the Lewes game on Tuesday. Prices are £10 for adults, £7 concessions and £5 under-16s.
To book a seat on a coach, email Dan Willett at firstname.lastname@example.org. The cost is £30 return for all adults and £10 for under-18s. Coaches will leave The Pilot Field at 6am prompt.
THE FA Cup is coming to Hastings.
The world famous trophy will be on show at The Pilot Field, home of Hastings United, from 6pm on Wednesday and supporters will be able to have their photo taken with it.
Tickets are £10 each, to include a buffet, and are available to season ticket holders only until Monday. They can be purchased from the club office today (Friday) and Monday from 9.30am-1pm. Any remaining tickets will be on sale to paying spectators at the Ryman League game against Lewes on Tuesday from 1pm.
Wednesday will be a busy day for the United players because they will be doing a photoshoot with The Sun at Battle Abbey before undertaking the Crossbar Challenge for Sky Sports television show Soccer AM and then hosting a press conference.
