Extra staff needed at holiday park

SCORES of new jobs are coming to town with the expansion of a holiday park.

Combe Haven, which is owned by Haven Holidays, is looking to fill more than 300 vacancies as it has seen a surge in bookings for this year’s season, which runs from March to the end of October.

Last year 200 seasonal staff were needed but because early bookings are 15 per cent up compared to 2010, bosses say there are an extra 100-plus posts up for grabs.

The resort is also investing £1 million this year in improving facilities for the thousands of holidaymakers and holiday home owners who come to Combe Haven.

The good news also comes after Saga’s recent move to Hastings, which will see 800 call centre jobs created.

Among new attractions at Combe Haven are a brand new outdoor pool and a new area of static caravans for use as holiday homes.

Neil Jenkins, general manager, said: “We are expecting another very busy season and we are now in the process of getting the team in place.

“We are looking for confident, enthusiastic team players and currently have vacancies in every area including security, chefs, waiters/waitresses, life guards, sports assistants as well as cleaning staff, bar and retail team members.”

Anyone interested can attend a recruitment day on Saturday, February 12 at the holiday park from 10am until 4pm.

Combe Haven is open all year round, except from the middle of January to the beginning of March.
