Event marks Bangladesh’s independence

THE Bangladeshi Association of Hastings and Rother welcomed more than 250 people to celebrate the 41st anniversary of Bangladesh’s victory day against the west Pakistani occupation forces in 1971.

The event was held at Concordia Hall in St Leonards on December 23 when each year Bangladeshi people around the globe remember the three million martyrs, who died for the country’s independence.
