A ST LEONARDS electrics firm has thrown its weight behind an unusual fundraising challenge.
Focus SB, based on the Castleham Industrial Estate, has vowed to support one of its workers’ son’s attempts to become the youngest person ever to complete the gruelling Three Peaks Challenge.
Alex Stainforth, 16, will take on the three highest mountains in the UK - Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis in just 24 hours next month, and the firm will foot some of the fuel bill as well as sponsoring him.
Managing director Roger Kemp said: “When one of my colleagues Debbie told me of her son’s plans I knew we had to be involved.
“He is a very determined lad and I have no doubt that he is capable of completing this extremely difficult challenge.”
