Electrical fire in Hastings

An electrical fire was extinguished by firefighters on Tuesday (December 15).

Two East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service appliances from Hastings and Eastbourne’s aerial ladder platform were mobilised to the incident on Priory Street at around 10:50am.

Crews used breathing apparatus and a CO2 extinguisher to put out the fire.

Firefighters used a positive pressure fan to ventilate the area before leaving the scene at about 12:40pm.
