Election day in Hastings

VOTERS are heading to the polls today as sixteen seats are up for election at Hastings Borough Council.

Visit the Hastings Observer website from 11pm tonight for live results as they are announced, ward by ward, and an interactive blog where you can express your views.

Local elections are held in the town every two years for half of the council.

The last local election for Hastings was held at the same time as the General Election in May 2010, when the council passed from no overall control to a Labour majority.
