PUPILS at a St Leonards school have gone green and set up a specialised eco-garden.

Children at St Mary Star-of-the-Sea School, in Magdalen Road, have had a plot at Bohemia Walled Garden for more than a year.

The school’s Parent, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) also decided to commission a school sign for the garden. This was made entirely with recycled wood in keeping with its eco-school values and made by local artist/gardener, Kate Barker.

Members of the school’s eco-council unveiled the sign just before breaking up for the summer holidays and afterwards celebrated with a picnic in the garden.
