A DUTCH choir is visiting Hastings this week to perform at Holy Trinity Church.

The vocal ensemble, who hail from Utrecht in the Netherlands, plan to perform a varied programme of Dutch and English acappella  music spanning four centuries.

Called Trajecti Voices, the singers are a semi-professional outfit founded in 1990 and led by conductor Dirkjan Horringa. The music on offer will include Elizabethan composers Peter Philips, William  Byrd and Thomas Tomkins, and their Dutch contemporaries Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck and Cornelis Thymanszoon Padbrué. It starts at 1.10pm on Wednesday and entry is free.
