Part of a cliff in Hastings collapsed on Friday (January 3) as a result of heavy rainfall.
A large section of the cliff at Rock-a-Nore fell into the sea in the afternoon.
Ken Brooks, chairman of Hastings and District Geological Society, said the cliff collapsed under the weight of saturated ground above as a result of the recent severe weather which has hit 1066 Country since Christmas.
Dan Crouch witnessed the landslide and sent us the dramatic photo (above). You can view another photo by clicking on the “Landslide Photos” link at the top of this page.
