The RSPCA Bluebell Ridge is appealing to cat lovers to donate unwanted Christmas presents to help raise funds.
The gift you received may not be to your taste or maybe you were given too many boxes of chocolates. No matter how unsuitable you think they are, the centre can find a use for them.
The charity has many fundraising events throughout the year and it is always looking for good quality gifts for raffle or tombola prizes.
All the money raised will go towards keeping the cattery open and looking after the abandoned cats that the charity cares for. It is the goodwill and generosity of local supporters that enables Bluebell Ridge to continue its work.
Bluebell Ridge is owned and operated by the Sussex East and Hastings branch of the RSPCA. It is a separate charity within the national body and is entirely self-financing. Each year the branch has to raise more than £150,000 to keep the cattery open. Unwanted gifts can be taken to the centre at Chowns Hill, Hastings which is open 11.30am to 3pm every day except Thursday. Visit www.bluebellridge.org.uk.
